This week we looked at the trees in the story of Noah: gopher wood for the Ark itself, an olive leaf for peace, and the vine Noah made wine from this brought a family crisis. This week Queen Elizabeth II passed and certainly we heard that she was like a giant Cedar of Lebanon leading her realm for 70 years through war and peace. I chose this rendition of the hymn, “It is Well With My Soul” sung by Joni Erikson Tada. Joni dove into water as a teenager and broke her neck, becoming a quadriplegic. She has written beautiful books about feeling overwhelmed by a flood of trouble but learning to overcome by the power of faith, the cross. She really helped me. Let’s just listen and enjoy the words.
